Large Black Clutch

I know I say this often but this is definitely one of my favourite clutches!  I use it quite often.  I love the size, shape and style.  The gold on the front is cool.  When you open it, it had a mirror on the flap.  Great for putting on your lipstick!  It is missing the original strap but I don't care. It was made in China.

Small Silver Clutch

This is a very pretty small silver clutch.  It has a long silver chained strap to be worn over the shoulder.  I bought it in Burlington, Ontario at a charity shop near my office.  I usually go to this shop once every couple of weeks just to see what they have.  I only paid $2.50 for it.  It was made in China.

Light Grey Clutch

This is the 5th clutch I bought today at a garage sale for a $1.00.  That house was a jackpot!  Ha, Ha.  I like the 3 little flower cutouts on the front.  It would have had a strap at one point but it was missing.  It has a light brown lining.  It doesn't state where it is from.

Dark Navy Blue Bag

This is another purse I bought today at a garage sale for $1.00.  It is a nice bag.  Has a small gold chain.  It has 2 large pockets on the inside.  Made in Korea.

Flashy Gold Clutch

This is a very bright gold clutch!  Very nice.... I bought it today at a garage sale for $1.00.  I actually bought 5 purses at the same house!  It does have a small gold chain on the inside if you do not want to carry it as a clutch.  The lining is a really pretty yellow silk colour.

Brown Bag

This is a very nice light brown bag.  I bought it today for $1.00.  I really like the plastic handle.  One BIG downside......it has a black stain on the side.....it is still a nice bag.  I may try to dye it one day.  Stay tuned for the before and after.  It was made in Korea.

Black Clutch

I use this black clutch quite often.  I love the print and the shape of it.  I bought it at a garage sale last summer.....I only paid about $2.00 for it.  It is missing the strap but that is fine because I hardly use them anyway.  The lining is a soft brown velvet.  It does not have a tag stating where it is from.  A classic clutch!

Orange - Brown Purse

This is a really neat purse.  I like how it looks like a small briefcase.  It was made in Korea.  I would have had a strap at one point but it was missing when I bought it.  This was another one of my Value Village finds......$5.00.

Grey Handbag

O bought this handbag about a year ago at Value Village.  I cannot remember how much it was but it would have been around $5.00.  It is a Coret - Montreal, Canada handbag.  It is in very good condition, this inside is perfect!

Grey Clutch

I bought this grey clutch today at a garage sale.  It was only $1.00!  I like the print on the front. This is another Cabrelli - Canada bag.  There is a strap on the inside so it can also be worn over the shoulder.

Orange Samsonite Carry-On

This is a retro Samsonite carry-on.  I like the boxy shape.  My mother bought this for me when her and my father went on a ski trip to Aspen.  She knows how much I love vintage things so she went into a used clothing shop there and found this.  I think she only paid  about $4.00 U.S. for it.  I very cool piece!

Very Old Hat

This is a VERY unique black felt hat with gold metal stars all over it.  I am not sure if it is an old flight attendant's hat or not.  GORGEOUS.  The label says " New York Creation".  When I bought it there was newspaper stuffed in it to keep its shape.  The newspaper was from the Buffalo Press - Tuesday, March 19th, 1957.  I bought it in Salamanca, N. Y. at an antique store.  i paid $4.00 for it!

40th Birthday Present

This was a present from my business partner Joe.  He bought it in Chicago for my 40th Birthday.  It is a really nice purple colour and it has a very cool print.  I love the lining as well.  It is a Vera Bradley purse.  I love it!

Brown Clutch

This is another one of my new clutches.  I bought this one on one of my trips to the UK.  I bought it in Primark and it was only 3 pounds!  I love the colour and then way it opens and shuts!  A good find!

Dark Brown Clutch

This is another one of my new clutches.  I bought it at Value Village for only $4.00.  It is a beautiful chocolate brown purse.  I was actually made at Old Navy!  It didn't come with a strap so it is only used as a clutch.

Pink Clutch

This is one of my new clutches.  My Aunt Joanie bought this for me in England.  She bought it at Primark.....one of my favourite places to but clutches!  I love the color and the print.  A great summer time purse!

Old Versus New

As much as I LOVE vintage clutches.....I also just LOVE clutches and purses in general! I have quite a few new bags as well that I am going to post on here as well.....

I have well over 100 purses - I would say I have more vintage bags but I do still have quite a few new purses as well.

I am going to begin mixing in some more of my new bags into this blog as well.

Navy Blue Clutch

This is a really cute navy blue clutch.  I like the bow on the front!  It was only $2.00 at Value Village.  The clasp on the top is beautiful - it is round and shiny! The inside is a silky pinkish fabric.

Black Patten Leather clutch

This purse is in very good condition.  It is unique as it has a small mirror on the inside that flips up out of the purse.  Really beautiful.  Label states " JR - Made in China".  It was only $2.00 at a church sale! It does have a strap as well so it can be worn over the shoulder.

Tan clutch

I bought this purse at Value Village in Brantford, Ontario.  I paid $4.00 for it.  I like the colour and the print.  It has a very nice velvet lining.

Striped Clutch

I LOVE this bag!!  The front has the 3 different colours and prints, the back is just all burgundy.  It has 3 different sections - 2 zippered.  It does have a trap that can be clipped on it so you can wear it over the shoulder.  It was purchased at a garage sale.  I think I only paid $2.00 for it!  Again,  looks great with jeans!

Burgundy Clutch

This is a very nice burgundy clutch.  I love the colour and the print!  I bought this at a garage sale for $2.00!  It came with a strap although I always use it as a clutch.  It does not say where it was made.

Orange - Brown leather clutch

This is a orange / brown leather clutch.  The leather is so very soft!  From the logo on the front, I think this is an old Pierre Cardin clutch.  It does have a long, gold chain strap if you want to wear it over the shoulder.  It is in pretty good condition - a few small scratches in the leather here and there.  I love the lining - it is checker board!  I paid about $3.00 for this at a church sale in Brantford, Ontario.

Small, dark brown clutch

This is a small dark brown clutch that I bought for $1.00 at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario.  I bought it in this past summer - August 2011.  The tag on the inside states " by National - Canada Made ".  i like the small bow on the front.

Dark Green Handbag

This is a beautiful darg green bag.  The fabric it a thick wool.  It is a JR - USA bag.  I bought it in Salamanca, N.Y.  I paid about $9.00 for it.  I LOVE the handle!

Gold Whiting and Davis clutch

A true find!!!  This is a Whiting and Davis clutch I bought on ebay for about $15.00.  It came with the tags still on it!!!  I am not sure what year it is from but the price tag is from Loemann's - $39.99 compare at $68.00.  It has a long gold, chain strap.  It is a mesh bag with structure.  There is a mirror on the inside flap and the sticker inside states - U.S. Pat - 4021891. I love it!

Blue Clutch

A new clutch that my Aunt Joanie bought on her trip to England.  I love the colour.  It is a straw bag and it sparkles.  Quite nice!  Good taste Aunt Joanie!

Black Patten Leather Clutch

Another Cabrelli Canada bag.  It is a patten leather clutch.  I bought it at Value Village in Waterdown, Ontario.  I paid about $3.00 for it!  Great condition but it is missing the strap.  I only use it as a clutch anyway : )

Dark Grey Clutch

A very dark grey clutch.  I love the colour.  It is a Cabrelli Canada bag.  Very good condition.  I bought it at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario for $2.00.  It once had a strap but was missing when I got it.  I use this one quite often!

Disc Clutch

A very unique clutch!  I LOVE all of the discs covering the whole purse.  It is in great condition.  This was purchased on ebay in a lot of 5 purses.  A fun purse! It has all of its beads and discs.

Floral NYC Clutch

One of my favourite new clutch purses!  I bought it in New York on Canal street.  I bought it because of the bead work and the colours! Gorgeous!!  It was about $10.00 U.S.  I use it quite a lot!  Looks great with jeans!

My Favorite clutch

This is my FAVOURITE clutch!  It is absolutely gorgeous!  A picture does not do it justice!  It is an light brown silk fabric with the most beautiful gold / brown beads!  The bead work is flawless!  I love this clutch so much!  It was made in Hong Kong and I bought it on ebay for about $19.00.  LOVE IT!!!

Peach Silk Clutch

Another clutch " Styled by Du- Val, Hong Kong".  I found this at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario and i only paid $2.00 for it.  It is in very good condition/  The scalloped fabric in beautiful.  It is a silk material.  The colour is a very light peach. Has a very long chain strap on the inside so it can be used as a clutch or over the shoulder.  A great find at a garage sale!

Gold Clutch

Gold clutch "Hand made in Canada by John Hort".  I love it!  I was found at Value Village for only $2.00 on their 1/2 price sale days!!  It is truely beautiful!  Great condition! Has a small chain strap on the inside.

Leopard Clutch

My Aunt Joanie bought this clutch for me when she was in England.  It is a new clutch, very nice.  I like the leopard print all over the bag.  It also sparkles. 

Beaded Bag

Bought on ebay in a lot of 5 purses.  Quite old, made in Japan.  The bead work is gorgeous and all beads on both sides of the purse are present!  The beads are tiny little pearls.  Gorgeous purse - delicate.  I do not use this one.....

Grey Bag with beads

Another one of my new clutches....I liked it because it looked old.  I bought it at a market in London, England.  I paid about 10 pounds for it.  It is a beautiful silver colour.  Made in China.  Really nice bead work!  The strap is really nice as well.

Beaded Clutch

This came from Value Village in Burlington, Ontario.  It was only $5.00.  It is in very good condition, there are a few beads loose here and there but the rest are in perfect condition.  It was made in Hong Kong.  It also has a small chain strap on the inside.  Sparkles!!

Very Old Beaded Purse

A very delicate, flapper style bag.  VERY old!  I bought it on ebay and came in a lot of 5 bags I paid $25.00 U.S for.  It is in so-so condition.  I never use it because I wouldn't want to ruin it! It would have been quite gorgeous brand new!  I would love to know where it came from!

Small Mesh Clutch

This is a very small new mesh clutch.  I bought it in the UK.  I only paid about 2 pounds for it.  I use it when I just have money and a lipstick to carry.  It wouldn't carry much more!  It is small and very cute.

Beaded Clutch

Again, this was one of my Value Village finds!  Beautiful!!  In FABULOUS condition!  It is not missing ANY beads what so ever.  It also has a long silver chain strap so it can be worn over the shoulder as well. A real find!

Silver Beaded Bag

This purse is another very unique one.  Very beautiful....pretty good condition.  It has most of its beads, only one or two missing here and there.  It was in the lot of 9 purses I bought on ebay.  It was made in Hong Kong.  It has a small silver chain strap.  i always use it as a clutch though.

Blue Felt Hat

Very cool felt hat!  I bought this at Value Village in Brantford, Ontario.  I only paid $4.00 for it.....actually my DAD only paid $4.00 for it : )

Weaved Bag

I bought this purse at Value Village in Burlington, Ontario.  I only paid about $5.00 for it.  It is an unusual plastic weaved bag with lucite handles.  It has a beautiful floral lining and an all around cool bag!

Lucite Handbag

This is by FAR one of my favorite handbags!!!!!  It was given to me by my cousin Alan and his beautiful wife Lisa.....who is also a vintage collector!!!  It is a 1950's Lucite Handbag.  Similar one's were photographed and can be found in Janice Berkson's book " Carry me!  1950's Lucite Handbags", the book also a gift from Alan and Lisa! I keep this one in a box wrapped in tissue and only use it on VERY special occasions!!

Silver Purse

I bought this a few weeks ago at a second hand store in Paris, Ontario.  It does not look to old but I liked the structure of it.  It is in GREAT condition.  I only paid $2.00 for it.  It is really cute!

Blue Wicker Purse

This is a very unusal navy blue wicker purse.  The colour is gorgeous and it is in great condition!!  It also has a gold chain strap so it can be worn over the shoulder as well.  I bought it at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario for only $2.00!!  Love it!  It was made in China. I love the gold clasp!

Mink Hat

This is one of my favorite winter hats!  It is vintage chocolate brown mink hat!!  I bought it at an antique store in Salamanca, N.Y for only $8.00! I LOVE it!  The label inside states " Adolfo II, New York - Paris".  Iam not sure how old it is but it is in great condition!  I love wearing it with my vintage Hudson's Bay Company jacket all winter long!!!

Mink Hat

This is an old 1950's mink hat.  Made in Canada.  I bought it at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario for only $2.00!!!  It is in great condition and is VERY warm in the winter! 

Gold Beaded Purse

One of the 9 bags purchased in a lot from ebay, it is in pretty good shape.  It is only missing a couple of beads here and there.  It was made in Hong Kong.  can be used as a clutch or you can use the strap.  A nice purse.  i do not use it very often.

Gold Mesh Bag

This is a very unique bag.  It was purchased at a consignment store in Ellicottville, N.Y called Betsy's.  It is one of my more expensive vintage bags, I paid $20.00 U.S for it.  LOL!  It was made in China.  It is gold mesh and opens in a really different way!  It in in great condition!
