Grean Clutch

I really like this summer bag.  I love the contrast of the wood and the fabric.  I actually bought this one at Old Navy!  It was on sale for $7.99.  I use this in the summer a lot.  Great Old Navy find - surprise, surprise!

Hot Pink Clutch

This is a beautiful hot pink clutch.  Once again, I bought this one on one of my trips to England......I actually think this one was purchased when I visited Swansea, Wales.  Cheap, Cheap, Cheap - only a couple of pounds.  A great summer clutch!

Torquoise Clutch

Yet another clutch I bought in England.  A Primark find.  I only paid 3 pounds for this one.  It is a nice colour and a good shape.  I have yet to use this one!

Floral Clutch

This is a very nice floral clutch.  I bought it in England......as you can probably tell I bring home a lot of purses on my trips there!  This one was on sale at Miss Selfridge.  Regular price was 55 pounds!!!!  CRAZY!!  I only paid 5 Pounds for it!  Great steal!!! 

Straw Clutch

Another bag I bought at Primark!  I love this bag, one of my favourite new clutches.  I use it a lot in the summer!  I love the straw fabric and the shape of the bag.  Again, I would have only paid a couple of pounds for it at Primark.

Black and White Striped Clutch

I bought this clutch in England a few years ago.  It was only 1 pound!  It is a nice silky material.  I like the handle and the big button on the front.  I bought it my favourite store - Primark - LOL

Black Bag

I bought this bag yesterday at the Value Village - 50% off sale!  It is brand new!!  It is GAP and it has a beautiful striped lining.  A great find!!

Green Clutch

I bought this clutch at Kohl's in the States.  It is a very long clutch.  I LOVE the lining as it is bright pink!  I paid about $8.00 for it.  It "Candies". 

Cream Patten Clutch

Another clutch I purchased in England on one of my business trips.  I bought this one at Primark for about 2 pounds.  It came with a strap but I cut it off.....it looked a lot better without it.  I like the print on the front.  I actually bought a black one the exact same but gave it to one of my friends.

Purple Clutch

This is a nice dark purple clutch.  I bought it last year when I was in England.  It was only about 5 pounds and I bought it at New Look.  I like the wristlet.

Aqua Clutch

This is a nice aqua clutch. It is actually much larger in person than the picture reflects.  I bought it for $8.00 at Liquidation World!  It does come with a strap but I prefer to use it as a clutch.  Looks great with jeans.

More new purses

The next grouping of purses are from my new collection of purses.  I love my mix of new and old.  Many of my new ones I have purchased will on vacation or away for business.

Black Patten Leather Handbag

This was one of the handbags I bought from a group of 8 from ebay.  It has a solid structure.  It was made in the U.S.A for "Rags by Edward".  It is in great condition.

Black Handbag

This is a very nice black handbag with some grey details.  i love the shape of this bag.  I bought it at Value Village a couple of years ago.  It was only $4.99.  I am not sure where it is made, there were no labels on the inside. 

Black Patten Leather Clutch

I have no idea how many Cabrelli - Canada bags I have but this is another one.  I cannot remember where I got this one as it was a few years ago.......I actually just found it in one of my storage boxes and it is going to be put back in "rotation"  LOL.  I like the structure of it.  It would have had a strap at one point but it is missing so it can just be used as a clutch now.

Dark Green Suede Clutch

This is a very beautiful dark green suede clutch.  It is in very good condition.  I bought it at a church rummage sale for .25 cents! A great find!  I love the gold clasp.  Not sure where it was made as there were no labels on the inside.

Tan Clutch

This is a very nice Tan clutch.  I bought it at the Thrift Store.  I paid $4.99 for it.  It is a really nice bag.  I like the front with the 3 leather stripes.  I am not sure where this one is made.

Small White Beaded Clutch

This is a small white beaded clutch I bought at a garage sale for .25 cents.  It is in VERY good condition, only missing a couple of beads here and there.  No stains at all.  The backside is quite different, just small beads all over it.  I am not sure where it was made as there were no tags.

GORGEOUS Black Wool Clutch

I know I say this a lot but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this clutch.  I bought it at the Thrift Store in Burlington, Ontario.  I paid $3.99 for it.  It is in fantastic condition.  I love the lining - a soft orange silk.  I have already used this bag a few times.  It was made in the U.S.A for bobbie jerome.  LOVE it!!!

Beige Clutch

This is another Cabrelli Canada Clutch.  I bought it at a church rummage sale for .25 cents.  It is a nice bag.  I like the two gold corners on each side.

Small Black Velvet Clutch

This was a garage sale find - I paid .25 cents for it!  Very cute, black velvet.  It has a small gold chain that can be tucked inside.  It was made in Hong Kong.

Brown Silk Handbag

This is another Thrift Store find.  I paid $4.99 for it.  It has a beautiful light brown silk lining.  I really like the chain on it.  It is a really nice chocolate brown colour.  A nice find.

Burgundy Handbag

I found this handbag at the Thrift Store in Burlington, Ontario.  I only paid $2.99 for it......this is my new favourite store.  I hot the vintage purse jack pot there!!  Love it!  I think I have now purchased about 5 bags from there.  This one is a really nice burgundy colour.  As you can see it does have a strap and it can be clipped in and out as needed.  I really like the front of the bag, the Lucite bit in the front is beautiful.  his bag was Made in Canada for Calego.

Black Velvet Clutch

This is another St. Basil's rummage sale find.  Again, only $1.00.  It is black velvet with a strip of black patten leather.  It does have a strap to it can be used as a clutch or over the shoulder.  It is in very good condition.

Gold Bag

This is a very cute bright gold bag.  I also bought this one at the St. Basil's rummage sale.  It has a long gold chain for over the shoulder use.  It was made in China.  It was only $1.00.

Grey Purse

I bought this bag on the weekend at the St. Basil's rummage sale in Brantford, Ontario.  I only paid $1.00 for it.  I like the crimping in the front.  It is a good size.  Not sure where it was made since it doesn't have any labels on it.

Large Black Clutch

I know I say this often but this is definitely one of my favourite clutches!  I use it quite often.  I love the size, shape and style.  The gold on the front is cool.  When you open it, it had a mirror on the flap.  Great for putting on your lipstick!  It is missing the original strap but I don't care. It was made in China.

Small Silver Clutch

This is a very pretty small silver clutch.  It has a long silver chained strap to be worn over the shoulder.  I bought it in Burlington, Ontario at a charity shop near my office.  I usually go to this shop once every couple of weeks just to see what they have.  I only paid $2.50 for it.  It was made in China.

Light Grey Clutch

This is the 5th clutch I bought today at a garage sale for a $1.00.  That house was a jackpot!  Ha, Ha.  I like the 3 little flower cutouts on the front.  It would have had a strap at one point but it was missing.  It has a light brown lining.  It doesn't state where it is from.

Dark Navy Blue Bag

This is another purse I bought today at a garage sale for $1.00.  It is a nice bag.  Has a small gold chain.  It has 2 large pockets on the inside.  Made in Korea.

Flashy Gold Clutch

This is a very bright gold clutch!  Very nice.... I bought it today at a garage sale for $1.00.  I actually bought 5 purses at the same house!  It does have a small gold chain on the inside if you do not want to carry it as a clutch.  The lining is a really pretty yellow silk colour.

Brown Bag

This is a very nice light brown bag.  I bought it today for $1.00.  I really like the plastic handle.  One BIG downside......it has a black stain on the side.....it is still a nice bag.  I may try to dye it one day.  Stay tuned for the before and after.  It was made in Korea.

Black Clutch

I use this black clutch quite often.  I love the print and the shape of it.  I bought it at a garage sale last summer.....I only paid about $2.00 for it.  It is missing the strap but that is fine because I hardly use them anyway.  The lining is a soft brown velvet.  It does not have a tag stating where it is from.  A classic clutch!

Orange - Brown Purse

This is a really neat purse.  I like how it looks like a small briefcase.  It was made in Korea.  I would have had a strap at one point but it was missing when I bought it.  This was another one of my Value Village finds......$5.00.

Grey Handbag

O bought this handbag about a year ago at Value Village.  I cannot remember how much it was but it would have been around $5.00.  It is a Coret - Montreal, Canada handbag.  It is in very good condition, this inside is perfect!

Grey Clutch

I bought this grey clutch today at a garage sale.  It was only $1.00!  I like the print on the front. This is another Cabrelli - Canada bag.  There is a strap on the inside so it can also be worn over the shoulder.

Orange Samsonite Carry-On

This is a retro Samsonite carry-on.  I like the boxy shape.  My mother bought this for me when her and my father went on a ski trip to Aspen.  She knows how much I love vintage things so she went into a used clothing shop there and found this.  I think she only paid  about $4.00 U.S. for it.  I very cool piece!

Very Old Hat

This is a VERY unique black felt hat with gold metal stars all over it.  I am not sure if it is an old flight attendant's hat or not.  GORGEOUS.  The label says " New York Creation".  When I bought it there was newspaper stuffed in it to keep its shape.  The newspaper was from the Buffalo Press - Tuesday, March 19th, 1957.  I bought it in Salamanca, N. Y. at an antique store.  i paid $4.00 for it!

40th Birthday Present

This was a present from my business partner Joe.  He bought it in Chicago for my 40th Birthday.  It is a really nice purple colour and it has a very cool print.  I love the lining as well.  It is a Vera Bradley purse.  I love it!

Brown Clutch

This is another one of my new clutches.  I bought this one on one of my trips to the UK.  I bought it in Primark and it was only 3 pounds!  I love the colour and then way it opens and shuts!  A good find!

Dark Brown Clutch

This is another one of my new clutches.  I bought it at Value Village for only $4.00.  It is a beautiful chocolate brown purse.  I was actually made at Old Navy!  It didn't come with a strap so it is only used as a clutch.

Pink Clutch

This is one of my new clutches.  My Aunt Joanie bought this for me in England.  She bought it at Primark.....one of my favourite places to but clutches!  I love the color and the print.  A great summer time purse!

Old Versus New

As much as I LOVE vintage clutches.....I also just LOVE clutches and purses in general! I have quite a few new bags as well that I am going to post on here as well.....

I have well over 100 purses - I would say I have more vintage bags but I do still have quite a few new purses as well.

I am going to begin mixing in some more of my new bags into this blog as well.

Navy Blue Clutch

This is a really cute navy blue clutch.  I like the bow on the front!  It was only $2.00 at Value Village.  The clasp on the top is beautiful - it is round and shiny! The inside is a silky pinkish fabric.

Black Patten Leather clutch

This purse is in very good condition.  It is unique as it has a small mirror on the inside that flips up out of the purse.  Really beautiful.  Label states " JR - Made in China".  It was only $2.00 at a church sale! It does have a strap as well so it can be worn over the shoulder.

Tan clutch

I bought this purse at Value Village in Brantford, Ontario.  I paid $4.00 for it.  I like the colour and the print.  It has a very nice velvet lining.

Striped Clutch

I LOVE this bag!!  The front has the 3 different colours and prints, the back is just all burgundy.  It has 3 different sections - 2 zippered.  It does have a trap that can be clipped on it so you can wear it over the shoulder.  It was purchased at a garage sale.  I think I only paid $2.00 for it!  Again,  looks great with jeans!

Burgundy Clutch

This is a very nice burgundy clutch.  I love the colour and the print!  I bought this at a garage sale for $2.00!  It came with a strap although I always use it as a clutch.  It does not say where it was made.

Orange - Brown leather clutch

This is a orange / brown leather clutch.  The leather is so very soft!  From the logo on the front, I think this is an old Pierre Cardin clutch.  It does have a long, gold chain strap if you want to wear it over the shoulder.  It is in pretty good condition - a few small scratches in the leather here and there.  I love the lining - it is checker board!  I paid about $3.00 for this at a church sale in Brantford, Ontario.

Small, dark brown clutch

This is a small dark brown clutch that I bought for $1.00 at a garage sale in Brantford, Ontario.  I bought it in this past summer - August 2011.  The tag on the inside states " by National - Canada Made ".  i like the small bow on the front.

Dark Green Handbag

This is a beautiful darg green bag.  The fabric it a thick wool.  It is a JR - USA bag.  I bought it in Salamanca, N.Y.  I paid about $9.00 for it.  I LOVE the handle!

Gold Whiting and Davis clutch

A true find!!!  This is a Whiting and Davis clutch I bought on ebay for about $15.00.  It came with the tags still on it!!!  I am not sure what year it is from but the price tag is from Loemann's - $39.99 compare at $68.00.  It has a long gold, chain strap.  It is a mesh bag with structure.  There is a mirror on the inside flap and the sticker inside states - U.S. Pat - 4021891. I love it!
